A warm welcome to you!  I am so happy that you found this site and that you have an interest in the the Swedish Warmblood horse!  This site was officially launched to the public on June 2, 2003 and is dedicated to all the riders, trainers, breeders, and breed enthusiasts out there who love this fine horse.

I am an amateur rider that discovered Swedish Warmbloods in 1994, and since that time, the more I've learned of and experienced them, the greater my respect has become.  I am particularly amazed, inspired, and thankful for the many years of hard work, dedication and commitment that has taken place to ensure that the equestrians of today have access to the finest horses that hundreds of years of purposeful, knowledgeable breeding can produce.  We are fortunate indeed!

There is a vast array of horse breeds, and even in the world of warmbloods, there is quite a variety of breeds.  This can get confusing, especially when some horses are accepted into multiple registries!  When it comes to Swedish Warmbloods, there are three official bodies that you should become familiar with:

I hope you will spend some time here and learn about this wonderful breed of horse.  Trace the beginnings of the breed back through four centuries, find the nearest inspection site, contact the official breed organizations, find breeders near you, learn how the Swedes track and monitor breeding so that they know which stallions increase height, pass on excellent temperament and gaits, and more.

This is a personal website for breed enthusiasts and is not sanctioned by or affiliated with any registry or governing body of the breed, or their websites.  This website is for everyone, and especially for those new to the breed so they will have a place to get started.  I am glad to be able to share this breed with everyone, especially those that may not be aware of all that the Swedish Warmblood has to offer!
