Breeder Directory

The majority of breeders do not reap large monetary gains from their breeding operations.  Most have small to medium size operations.  It is very costly to breed horses, bring a foal to term, and raise the baby until such time that it is sold.  Do they often recoup all the money they have invested in the baby?  I don't know, but I think probably not.  And it's not just the expense.  There can also be a lot of heartbreak and hassle involved with the entire breeding process.  Both stallion and mare owners have many technical issues to deal with.  So why do they do it? For the PASSION of producing a superior sport horse!  I, for one, am very grateful to those that have taken on the huge responsibility of producing quality mounts for the equestrians of today, as well as those up-and-coming in the future.

This "Breeder Directory" is not an official listing, but merely a list of breeders I have found myself, or those who have contacted me wishing to be included in the listing.  Not all breeders or stallion owners maintain a web presence, nor do I know about all that do, so this list is not guaranteed to be comprehensive.  If I have inadvertently omitted someone, please contact me so that I may include you!  In addition to breeders, this listing may also include agents and brokers.  All links on this page were recently reviewed.  If you find that you have been removed, it is because the link was no longer functional.  Please contact me with updated info!

My experience has been that Swedish Warmblood breeders are a very loyal, dedicated group wishing to do their best by and for the breed.  Individuals have opinions regarding everything from color, size, and gaits - to pedigree, breeding methods, and foal care.  That is what keeps the breeders active as a group, and always sharing information.  Breeders always have a lot of contacts throughout the horse industry, and you can learn a lot by talking with them.
